Schumann’s Concerto was composed for his wife, Clara, who performed the premiere on the 1st of January 1846 at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, where she was a veritable triumph. Composed of works with, at times, romantic folk accents, this concert also includes a piece by the German Jörg Widmann (created in 2013).
