The Ensemble intercontemporain shines the spotlight on a figure fairly little-known in France, Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen. With a fitting theme for a winter, the concert centres on his vast canon cycle Schnee (“snow”).

An homage to Sibelius: the grandiose landscapes of his Seventh Symphony, the noble brilliance of his Fifth, and his luminous Violin Concerto paint a striking picture of this greatest Scandinavian composer.
