Visiting the Cité de la musique - Philharmonie de Paris

A+AA-Print

Guided tours offer a unique way to experience the Cité de la musique - Philharmonie de Paris.

Since the 70s, the Parc de la Villette has never ceased evolving in order to become what it is today: one of the major centres of Parisian culture. In 1995 the Cité de la Musique designed by the architect Christian de Portzamparc set up home here and, twenty years later, the Philharmonie designed by Jean Nouvel completed the ensemble.

Explore this musical institution that is unique throughout the world, which brings together 4 concert halls, the Musée de la Musique that displays more than 1,000 instruments and art objects, spaces for educational activities and several areas that can accommodate orchestras.

This visit of 1h45 filled with anecdotes will lead you to discover how the original projects of the architects met the cultural requirements of the institution.
