Musée de la musique

Musée de la musique

FROM TUESDAY TO SUNDAY

The museum’s permanent collection presents 1000 exhibits (instruments, paintings, sculptures...) in a context illustrating their social and aesthetic context. With a wide variety of activities, it also actively contributes to the everyday goings-on at the Philharmonie.

Doisneau et la musique

From local dances to brass bands and cabarets, Robert Doisneau crossed paths with the jazz musicians and stars of his era. His photographs of these instances, many of which have never been shown to the public, are gathered for the first time within this exhibition.

Visiting the Museum

A trip to the museum is a musical experience! Thanks to free audio guides, visitors can actually hear the instruments they are seeing and discovering. Plus, every day at the Museum, a musician performs live and interacts with visitors.

Opening hours

The Cité de la musique - Philharmonie de Paris is made up of two buildings: Philharmonie and Cité de la musique. Check our opening hours ahead of time.
