Museum & Exhibitions visits

Permanent collection

Open all year round, the Musée de la musique Permanent Collection allows visitors to discover a thousand artworks (instruments, paintings, sculptures and furniture). Tours are adapted to visitors of all ages (children and adults), from serious musicians to anyone who is curious.

Visit the museum

The Permanent Collection’s self-guided tour allows visitors to discover the different musical eras (from the 17th century until today) at their own pace, and to learn about the evolution of music in Europe and the rest of the world.

Guided tours provide an interdisciplinary or themed approach to the Permanent Collection. They are offered either as a traditional guided tour lasting 1.5 hours, or as a 2-hour workshop-tour. These two-part tours take the group first to explore the Museum, then to try their hand at playing the instruments.

Guided tours are reserved for groups from October to June. Please contact our Groups service for additional information: groupes@philharmoniedeparis.fr

For your individual clients (not with an organised group), discover the new themes for guided tours.

Temporary exhibitions

Every season, the Musée de la musique puts on three temporary exhibitions that present, in an original way and from a new angle, a great figure of pop or art music, or one of the world’s key musical cultures.
