Before becoming the choirmaster at the church of St. Louis of the French in Rome, Orazio Benevoli (1605-1672) began his career as one of the choirboys. His numerous masses reveal the influence of Palestrina while also exploring more innovative paths. For this concert, the choir will be spread throughout the balconies of the hall in hommage to the architecture of the Roman church where this majestic work was created.
