“I love this notebook,” Proust declared about Fauré’s La Bonne Chanson, a cycle of nine melodies on Verlaine’s 1870 collection of poetry of the same name. Fauré’s score was completed in 1894 and the version for string quartet in 1898. Take advantage of the opportunity to experience Nigerian soprano Omo Bello in a more intimate setting than the opera halls where she’s had her greatest success.
