The oeuvre of American composer Danny Elfman, known primarily for his film scores, is brilliantly eclectic. This programme presented by the Berlin Philharmonic Piano Quartet explores a lesser-known side of his work.
Danny Elfman is the celebrated author of the Simpsons theme, The Nightmare Before Christmas or Men in Black; it is also with the greatest humility that he evokes the profession of composer and his fascination for Russian masters (Prokofiev, Shostakovich...). The meeting that opens this evening will be an opportunity for the public to grasp his creative process. In the second part, a concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Piano Quartet, composed of young instrumentalists from the Berliner Philharmoniker, will bring his piano quartet into dialogue with one of those by Mozart.
