Tierkreis is one of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s major compositions, comprising twelve melodies—one for each star sign. In a staging in which benevolent musicians engage with puppets and shadows, we follow the adventures of a little girl who sets off on a nocturnal escapade, guided by music, into a world inhabited by animal creatures.
