Composer Betsy Jolas presents a new version of her opera Schliemann. Heinrich Schliemann is a historical figure from the nineteenth century, known among other things for his lifelong fascination with The Iliad. He was a successful businessman and pioneering archaeologist, although there is some dissent over his role in the discovery of Troy.
