Mozart’s famous Violin Concerto No. 5 owes its nickname the “Turkish Concerto” to the final Rondo in the fashionable alla turca style. Le Bœuf sur le toit (The Ox on the Roof), on the other hand, is inspired by Brazil; its medley of dances remains irresistible.
