This concert marks the final piece in Les Arts Florissants revisiting of Monteverdi’s madrigals, which they embarked on in 2011 in partnership with the Cité de la musique and the Théâtre de Caen. Among the poems delicately set to music, the famous Ballo delle Ingrate will enjoy a central place, with original staging and spatialisation by Paul Agnew.
