The last of Joan Tower's Fanfares, which have marked the entire season of the Orchestre de Paris, resounds as a prelude to Dvořák's virtuoso Concerto, before Tchaikovsky, with his Symphony No.5, entrusts the orchestra with the secret book of an idealistic, anguished soul.
