The Orchestre de Paris and its Music Director, Klaus Mäkelä, continue to affirm their international, social and educational commitment and ambition with the third edition of the Academy.
Aimed at all young top-level instrumentalists completing their final studies, this Academy offers an opportunity of perfecting orchestral technique by means of an pedagogically supported professional experience.
SUMMER ACADEMY
From September 1 to 6, 2026 inclusive
Under the direction of Klaus Mäkelä, Music Director and Olha Dondyk, Lauréate La Maestra 2024
From September 1 to 6, 2026, 45 selected academicians for the Summer Academy 2026 will have the opportunity to work and perform a symphonic programme : Camille Saint-Saëns' 3rd Symphony and Arthur Honegger's 3rd Symphony, side by side with musicians of the Orchestre de Paris. The closing concert will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the Great Hall of the Philharmonie de Paris.
This session includes not only tutti and desk sectionals but also individual coaching in orchestral audition repertoire, alongside other workshops offering skills for tomorrow’s orchestral musician.
The Principals and sectional desk members of the Orchestre de Paris provide valuable pedagogical support throughout the session.
Accommodation and meals are provided.

STUDIO ACADEMY
From January to June 2027 inclusive
The Studio Academy offers a 6-month professional immersive experience within the Orchestre de Paris for five laureates who also participate in the Summer Academy ; 2 violins, viola, cello, and double bass.
The Studio academy members benefit from personalized pedagogical coaching by the Principals and tutti desk musicians of the Orchestre de Paris. They will the opportunity to perform at the Philharmonie de Paris under renowned conductors including Klaus Mäkelä.
In addition to the orchestral season concerts, they will participate in international concerts, chamber music performances and can participate in the orchestras’ outreach activities.
Repertoire preparation and coaching for auditions by individual work sessions with tutors as well as tailored training in other skills such as physical and mental well being are offered throughout the Academy.
The Academy members receive a monthly allowance during the Studio Academy period.

Concerning the Académie Studio : A selected number of successful Summer Academy string applicants, will be invited to participate in the auditions for the Académie Studio at the Philharmonie de Paris during the first week of April 2026.
