The Musée de la musique and Talents & Violon’celles have dedicated the third edition of this competition to the viola.

The competition aims to promote excellence in the field of instrument making and to highlight its links with music and its interpretation. It is open to professionals (“Talents of Today” category) and to lutherie students (“Talents of Tomorrow” category). During the competition, the violas are displayed in the Musée de la musique, bringing together past and present lutherie. T

This final features three instruments played behind screens by musicians of the Orchestre de Paris. Each instrument is played solo and in duet with a piano . At the end of the final, the three instruments will be awarded first, second and third prize. The Luthiers Jury may award a “coup de cœur” to a viola.
