The Musée de la musique and Talents & Violon’celles have dedicated the third edition of this competition to the viola.

The competition aims to promote excellence in the field of instrument making and to highlight its links with music and its interpretation. It is open to professionals (“Talents of Today” category) and to lutherie students (“Talents of Tomorrow” category). During the competition, the violas are displayed in the Musée de la musique, bringing together past and present lutherie. 

The first, second and third prizes in the “Talents of Today” and the “Talents of Tomorrow” categories are awarded to the winners. The “coups de cœur” are announced. The awards ceremony is followed by a musical moment with the musicians of the Orchestre de Paris and a discussion with the audience.
