As with most of the major pianists in the history of jazz, Brad Mehldau is in his artistic element in the trio form. Along with his improvisation ‘brothers’, Larry Grenadier and Jeff Ballard, he showcases like no-one else his own compositions and the major jazz standards, as well as the pop and folk repertoire.
