Premiering in March 2013 in Cologne, Pascal Dusapin’s Violin Concerto has never been performed in France as yet. Its violin phrases, floating weightlessly above the orchestra, have something delicately dreamlike about them, contrasting with the solid sound architecture of Brahms’s Symphony No.4.
