This’Awsome Evening’ is also something of a huge jump, from the Renaissance of Josquin Desprez to the creations of the Catalan Joan Magrané Figuera (born in 1988) and of the Slovenian Vito Žuraj( born in 1979): the former setting to music a poet and knight of the Valencian Golden Age, whereas the latter takes his inspiration from Alfred Jarry’s character Ubu.
