Toi, toi, mon toit #2 - Roche Musique 10th Anniversary

Kartell (DJ), Cezaire (DJ), Didi Han (DJ)
Concert
Le Belvédère - Philharmonie
Duration: about 4h00

To round off its 13th edition, Days Off is inviting French label Roche Musique to the top of the Philharmonie to celebrate ten years of the renaissance of the French Touch, with three DJ sets led by Kartell, Didi Han and Cezaire.

The Roche Musique label has a good decade under its belt – give or take a few days! – after being founded in Tours in 2012 at the behest of musician Cezaire alongside his friends Kartell and FKJ. The intention at the time was simple: to share their passion for ever-evolving electronic music. By exporting its version of the French Touch across the world, the label – now based in Paris – managed to meet its objective and then some: its decade of groove activism includes hits such as the success of electro-soul producer Darius (with his EP Romance and album Utopia), the first forays of Crayon and the acclaim of the first album by FKJ, French Kiwi Juice, certified double-platinum worldwide in 2017. Roche Musique embraces its enthusiasm and channels it into its underlying mission.

Cezaire (DJ)

Raised on G-funk and the powerful groovy rhythms of the 1980s and 1990s, the founder of the Roche Musique label gladly glides through the creative currents of R&B and hip-hop. Cezaire has released two EPs and a handful of singles, but has also collaborated with countless musicians the world over. His latest single, Back in the City, released early 2023, certainly sets our scene: “I’m back in the city / Are you ready for me?”. The dance floor is waiting.

Kartell (DJ)

His EP, Riviera, was the first thing ever released under the Roche Musique label in 2012. Since then, Kartell has brought us a number of singles and maxi-singles, dexterously dancing between house and R&B. In 2021, the six tracks of Daybreak marked a new shift to a style with more funk, pop and hip-hop notes, particularly through a feat. with Che Lingo, a key figure on the London grime scene.

Didi Han (DJ)

Didi Han, from South Korea and currently based in Seoul, first tasted success as a member of the DJ group “Deluxe Seoul”. In 2019, she went solo with her first single, Forest, before joining the Roche Musique family in 2021 with her EP Wake Up. Its five tracks were inspired by a trip to Bali: the memories of the sounds, experiences, lights and colours influenced the irresistible house tracks performed in her diaphanous voice.
