The celebrated Kronos Quartet from San Francisco has recorded several works by Steve Reich of which WTC 9/11 written in 2011 commemorates the tenth anniversary of the attacks which took place on the 11th September 2001.The recorded voices of the air traffic controllers can be heard as they merge into the kaleidoscopic musical texture.
