Acclaimed as one of the greatest musicians of our time, Maxim Vengerov is active as both a soloist and a conductor. He appears in recital in the world's most important concert halls and public and critics alike praise his passionate playing as well as the quality of his timbre, due in part to the precious violin he plays (a 1727 Stradivarius). Roustem Saïtkoulov, his honoured duo partner, comes from the great Russian tradition of piano playing. Originally from Kazan, he trained in Munich before winning several prestigious international prizes.
