“A journey through themes as varied as humanity, heights, night, death, despair, love, secrets, Richard Wagner, nature, Diogenes’ barrel, glory, the moon…” This is how Pascal Dusapin describes the 19 songs and 4 piano interludes that comprise O Mensch!, on texts by Nietzsche. A work that is part song cycle and part miniature drama, carried by the marvellous Georg Nigl.
