In the first part of this recital, pianist Hélène Grimaud will be exploring the aquatic inspiration — rain with Takemitsu, mist with Janácek, the water spring with Liszt…, but this exploration will also include compositions by Berio, Fauré, Schubert, Ravel and Albeniz. In the second part of her recital, Hélène Grimaud will be taking on Brahm’s wide-ranging and dramatic Sonata No.2.
