Marc Trénel
PRINCIPAL BASSOON
Marc Trénel has held the post of principal bassoon with the Orchestre de Paris since 1999.
After studying at the Lille Conservatoire under Jean Louis Ollé, he continued his training at the Paris Conservatoire with Pascal Gallois and Gilbert Audin, and subsequently with Sergio Azzolini at the Musikhochschule in Basel.
He has won several international competitions, notably taking first prize at the ARD Competition in Munich in 2008, which has since afforded him the opportunity to perform in numerous concerts as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, alongside his work with the orchestra.
Marc has made several chamber music recordings, as well as an album of French pieces for bassoon and piano, for the Indesens label, all of which have been warmly acclaimed by critics.
