Célestin Guérin
PRINCIPAL TRUMPET
A graduate of the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), Célestin Guérin has won several international competitions. Notably, he was awarded second prize at the prestigious ARD Competition in Munich in 2018. As a member of the brass sextet No Slide, he has a particular fondness for the chamber music repertoire and performs at numerous festivals, both in France and abroad.
With an interest in instrument-making, he has forged close ties with the French instrument maker Adrien Jaminet, as well as with the German manufacturer Thein Brass, for whom he is the first French artist.
Alongside his career as a performer, Célestin Guérin places great importance on teaching. He shares his experience through masterclasses and educational events organised in France and abroad, where he emphasises the pursuit of sound, musicality and the development of each musician’s artistic personality.
Having initially served as principal trumpeter with the Metz National Orchestra, he has held the same post with the Orchestre de Paris since 2019.
