Jose Angel Isla Julian
TROMBONE
Jose began playing the trombone at the age of 11 at the Union Musicale de Benidorm before continuing his studies at the Instituto Superior in Madrid and then at the CNSM in Paris in Claude Chevaillier’s class. He went on to refine his skills under the guidance of figures such as Jens Mac Manama, Stefan Schultz, Joseph Alessi and Branimir Slokar, and in 2004 was unanimously awarded his diploma with the distinction ‘Très Bien’.
He has been invited to perform with prestigious ensembles such as the Paris Opera, the Verbiers Festival Orchestra, the Orchestra Mozart di Bologna, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic and the Valencia Opera.
Since 2014, Jose has been principal bass trombonist with the Orchestre de Paris and an assistant lecturer at the CNSM in Paris.
