Benoît de Barsony

PRINCIPAL HORN

Having been unanimously awarded first prize by the Paris National Conservatoire of Music in André Cazalet’s class in 2005, Benoit de Barsony became principal horn of the Orchestre de Paris the very next year, under the baton of Christoph Eschenbach.

His career led him very early on to perform as a soloist with orchestras, at the Salle Pleyel with the Orchestre de Paris under the baton of Christoph Eschenbach and Paavo Järvi, at Victoria Hall and the Rheingau Festival with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, at the Grange au Lac with the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, and at the Kursaal with the Besançon Orchestra…

Renowned for his skills as a chamber musician, Benoit de Barsony has toured Europe to perform at numerous festivals, including the Festival de la Chaise-Dieu, the Festival de l’Emperi, the Kuhmo Festival (Finland), the Stift Chamber Music Festival (Netherlands), the Classic con Brio Festival (Germany), Easter Holidays in Düsseldorf (Germany) alongside musicians such as Paul Meyer, Éric Le Sage, Guy Braunstein, Daishin Kashimoto, François Leleux, Emmanuel Strosser and Emmanuel Pahud…
