Rémi Grouiller

Oboe

Rémi Grouiller was introduced to the oboe at a very young age at the Aveyron National School of Music, thanks to his teacher Nathalie Lebrazidec. From 2004, he studied with Michel Giboureau and then Daniel Arrignon, before joining the Paris Conservatoire – CNSMDP in 2008, where he studied oboe under David Walter, Jacques Tys and Frédéric Tardy. He went on to obtain his National Higher Diploma in Music (Professional) for Oboist in 2011, his Bachelor’s degree in Chamber Music in 2012 and his Master’s degree in 2013.
Passionate about orchestral music, he became a member of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes in 2009 and 2010, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra in 2012, and the Verbier Festival Orchestra in 2014 and 2015.

At the same time, in 2013 he became principal oboist with the Conservatoire Laureates’ Orchestra, then principal English horn with the Limoges and Limousin Orchestra, before joining the Orchestre de Paris in 2015 as an oboist also playing the English horn.
As a chamber musician, he performs regularly with the ‘Néodyme’ Wind Quintet.
Keen to pass on his experience and passion, he is teaching this year at the CRR in Paris.
