Anaïs Benoit

PRINCIPAL PICCOLO

Anaïs Benoit began studying the piano and then the flute at the age of 8. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in musicology at the Sorbonne, she enrolled at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) and, three years later, graduated with honours from Pierre-Yves Artaud’s class. A member of the French Youth Orchestra (OFJ) from 2003 to 2004, she served as second flute and piccolo in the Belgian National Orchestra from 2004 to 2006.

In 2006, she was appointed principal piccolo with the Orchestre de Paris, then conducted by Christoph Eschenbach. She performs regularly as a soloist to promote the piccolo, as well as in chamber music with numerous artists.

For 10 years, Anaïs Benoit taught the piccolo at the Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Conservatoire and at the Pôle supérieur Paris-Boulogne.
Alongside her work with the orchestra, she obtained a diploma in sophrology in 2023 and now offers both private consultations and group workshops at the CNSMDP, the OFJ and elsewhere.
