Florian Miller
Cello
Born in 1983, Florian Miller began playing the cello at the age of 7 with his grandfather, Jacques Cazauran. In 1998, he was admitted to Annie Cochet’s class at the CNR in Paris, where he was unanimously awarded first prize in 2002.
He went on to further his studies with Henri Demarquette and Philippe Muller before being accepted, in 2005, into the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) in Jean-Marie Gamard’s class. He is currently pursuing a dual course of study there, studying cello with Jérôme Pernoo and chamber music with Marc Coppey.
At the same time, he was a member of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes, the European Union Youth Orchestra, and the Académie de l’Orchestre de Paris. In 2009, he was awarded his Diplôme de Formation Supérieure (DFS).
He has been a permanent member of the Orchestre de Paris since 2008.
