Line Faber

Violin

Born in Luxembourg, Line Faber began her musical studies in Brussels. She entered the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels as a ‘young talent’ in Leonid Kerbel’s class and went on to pursue her postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music in London under Mark Messenger and Radu Blidar. She is currently furthering her studies with Lorenza Borrani at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

Throughout her studies, Line has benefited from masterclasses with leading artists such as Alina Ibragimova, Ivry Gitlis, György Pauk, Renaud Capuçon, Ulf Wallin, Isabelle van Keulen, Peter Herrestahl and Marc Danel. She has also performed on stage as a soloist in Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, a masterclass led by Maxim Vengerov. As a passionate chamber musician, Line has collaborated with artists such as Steven Isserlis, Nicola Benedetti, the Harlem Quartet of New York, and members of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

Line has also taken part in numerous festivals, including the Beethoven Fest Bonn, Rheingau Musik Festival, Paax Festival Mexico, Miesbach Kammermusikfestival, Fiskars Festival, Musethica Festival, Chipping Campden Festival and Musica Mundi Chamber Music Festival, and has performed at venues such as Wigmore Hall, the Elbphilharmonie, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Konzerthaus in Berlin.

Line was a member of the European Youth Orchestra; she then played with the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra for three years before joining the Orchestre de Paris. She has also been regularly invited as a principal player to perform with several renowned orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Solistes Européens du Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.
