Nadia Mediouni studied music at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris, where she was awarded First Prize in 1985. She also won the Special Prize for Musicality at the Lipizer Competition in Gorizia (Italy).

After completing her studies, she joined the CNSMDP’s professional orchestra before joining the Orchestre de Paris in 1988.
