A violinist with the Orchestre de Paris since 2000, Elsa Benabdallah has performed under the baton of Pierre Boulez, Daniel Harding, Klaus Mäkelä, Esa-Pekka Salonen and many others.
Deeply committed to chamber music, she is regularly invited to share the stage with musicians such as Sarah Nemtanu, Lise Berthaud, Pierre Fouchenneret, Alexandre Gattet, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Emmanuel Strosser, Marc Trénel and Marie Chilemme. She performs at renowned venues including the Philharmonie de Paris, the Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre Museum, the Salle Pleyel and the Salle Gaveau, as part of festivals such as the Flâneries de Reims and the Festival du Périgord Noir, and at Duke University…
International orchestras have always been at the heart of her musical life: she has taken part in numerous projects with the European Union Youth Orchestra, the European Camerata (Laurent Quénelle) and BandArt (Gordan Nikolić)… She has a particular interest in period instruments, collaborating notably with the Vannes Academy of Early Music and the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées.
Also passionate about the viola, she is regularly invited to join the viola sections of the Gothenburg (Santtu-Matias Rouvali) and Lille orchestras, as well as Les Dissonances, and performs as a violist at chamber music festivals such as Musique en Ré, BWd12 in Saint-Victor-sur-Loire and Éole en musiques.
