Antonin André-Réquéna

Violin

After studying at the Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Conservatoire with Christophe Poiget, Antonin André-Requena enrolled at the Lyon National Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied the violin under Elizabeth Balmas and later Roland Daugareil. There he obtained his Diplôme national d’études supérieures musicales (D.N.E.S.M), with first-class honours and a special mention from the jury for the best performance of the compulsory contemporary work, Passages by Laurent Cuniot.

At the same time, he benefited from the teaching of professors such as Régis Pasquier, Véda Reynolds and Gérard Poulet. He has performed with various orchestras, notably the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre national de France, the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio-France and the Opéra de Lyon. For three years, he was concertmaster of the Orchestre du Festival lyrique de Saint-Céré.

Passionate about the chamber music repertoire, he performs regularly in various ensembles: duos (violin/piano), trios, quartets and quintets. He has performed notably with Augustin Dumay, Renaud Capuçon, the Debussy Quartet, Emmanuel Gaugué and Pascal Jourdan.

Antonin André-Réquéna has been a member of the Orchestre de Paris since September 2002.
