Vera Lopatina
ASSOCIATE CONCERTMASTER
Vera Lopatina was born in Saint Petersburg in 1989. She began learning the violin at the age of five at a music school under Tatiana Liberova, and continued her musical studies in Moscow at a specialist secondary school under Professor Vladimir Ivanov. In 2008, she entered the Paris Conservatoire – CNSMDP in Régis Pasquier’s class and, four years later, was awarded her Master’s degree by unanimous decision.
Vera Lopatina has won numerous international competitions and performs as a soloist in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Russia…
A passionate chamber musician, she won First Prize at the Concertino Praga International Chamber Music Competition in the Czech Republic in 2006.
In 2013, Vera won the Ravel Prize from the Maurice Ravel Academy in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. That same year, she founded the Trio Medici, with whom she has given numerous concerts in France (Louvre Auditorium, Philharmonie de Paris, Salle Gaveau...) and abroad.
In 2015, the trio won Second Prize at the 6th Joseph Haydn International Chamber Music Competition in Vienna, Austria, as well as Second Prize at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (Australia).
In 2017, Vera was appointed second concertmaster of the Zurich Opera Orchestra, a post she held for seven years. In 2024, she joined the Orchestre de Paris as associate concertmaster.
