Nathalie Lamoureux
ASSISTANT CONCERTMASTER
Nathalie Lamoureux began studying music at the age of seven. After studying at the Caen Conservatoire, she was awarded a Medal in Advanced Music Theory at the Paris Conservatoire in 1980.
In 1983, she was awarded a First Prize in violin in Pierre Nerini’s class and a First Prize in chamber music in Maurice Crut’s class; she then continued her studies in an advanced programme with Régis Pasquier, whilst working with the Orchestre national de France, where she learnt her craft as an orchestral musician.
In 1987, she joined the Orchestre de Paris. It was in 1999 that she was appointed to the post of third concertmaster, a position she currently holds.
