He continued his studies with Igor Volochine at the Versailles Regional Conservatoire, where he was awarded a gold medal in 2004 and an advanced studies prize in 2005.
In 2006, he enrolled at the Paris National Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Régis Pasquier’s class; Pasquier invited him to perform with him in a series of chamber music concerts.

In April 2008, Raphaël Jacob won the Lions Club Violin Competition in Brittany. The following year, he was a prize-winner at the Génération Spedidam competition.
He has performed at several festivals, including ‘Musique au Cloître’ in Nîmes alongside artists such as Claire Désert, Roland Pidoux and Emmanuel Strosser, as well as ‘L’heure musicale d’Eygalières’ and ‘Musique dans le Grésivaudan’.

In 2009, he performed Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto under the baton of Carlos Dourthé, assistant conductor to Kurt Masur.

Together with his sister Sarah Jacob and the violist Jérémy Pasquier, he founded a string trio which won a prize at the Forum de Normandie and benefited from the guidance of Jean Mouillère and Bruno Pasquier. In 2010, the trio joined the Ysaÿe Quartet’s class.

Raphaël Jacob joined the Orchestre de Paris in 2011.
