Jeanne Bonnet
DOUBLE BASS
Born into a family of musicians, Jeanne Bonnet discovered the double bass at a very young age, studying with Jean-Loup Dehant at the Douai Conservatoire.
At the age of 15, having been awarded her diploma, she enrolled at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in the class of Thierry Barbé and Jean-Edmond Bacquet, where she completed her Master’s degree in June 2017. During her studies, she was awarded a scholarship from the Meyer Foundation.
She has won numerous competitions, including Bass’2008 (Paris), Bass’2010 (Berlin), the Orchestre Français des Jeunes (2014), the City of Boulogne-Billancourt International Contemporary Music Competition (2015), and the unanimous Honour Prize at the Bellan Competition (2017).
She quickly gained solid experience as a soloist and orchestral musician, notably through the training programmes of the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra (2014), the Orchestre de Paris (2015) and the Opéra National de Paris (2016).
Always striving for musical perfection, and after spending two years with the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, Jeanne joined the ranks of the Orchestre de Paris in August 2019.
