After studying at the Amiens National Regional Conservatoire, where she was awarded First Prizes in violin and music theory, Angélique Loyer enrolled at the Paris National Higher Conservatoire of Music in Gérard Poulet’s class. There, she was awarded First Prizes in violin and specialised music theory.

In 1988, she joined the first violin section of the Orchestre de Paris.

Alongside her work with the orchestra, she teaches at the Cergy-Pontoise Regional National Conservatoire.
