Cours de Chant - Cité Universitaire de Paris
Je suis profondément convaincue que la musique et les arts sont essentiels à chacun, et qu’ils enrichissent nos vies en nous apportant confiance, empathie, passion et joie.
Dear singer,
I am thrilled that you are interested in starting singing lessons! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced singer looking to refine your skills, I am here to help you reach your fullest potential.
My name is Bibi, and I am a Dutch soprano, currently an Artist in Residence at the Fondation des États-Unis at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP). Alongside my career as a professional singer, I work as a voice teacher and choir conductor at various conservatories in Paris, and I am Assistant Conductor to Jean-Philippe Sarcos at the Académie du Palais Royal.
I also lived in New York for three years, where I worked as a Voice Educator at Vielka’s Young Singers Academy and as a Vocal Teacher at the Garden Street School of the Performing Arts in New Jersey. During my time in Manhattan, I founded the International House Choir, where students from diverse backgrounds came together each week to explore a wide range of repertoire and musical styles.
I firmly believe that music and the arts are essential to everyone, enriching our lives with confidence, empathy, passion, and joy.
Your Singing Lessons
In our singing lessons, we will focus on developing a strong and healthy vocal technique while exploring musical interpretation and expression. You will learn effective warm-up exercises to improve your range, flexibility, and vocal confidence.
Together, we can work on songs of your choice, from pop, jazz, and musical theatre to classical repertoire. If you are interested in performing outside of your lessons, I can also help you prepare for the stage and develop the confidence to perform comfortably and expressively in front of an audience.
The lessons can be in English, French or Dutch.
If you are interested in starting lessons, feel free to send me an email. I would love to hear from you and make music together!
Kind regards,
Bibi Simons
