Singing Workshops in Paris - Summer 2026 | Ateliers de chant · Paris · Été 2026
Four singing workshop streams in Paris, July and August 2026. Classical Voice, Musical Theatre, Contemporary Voice, and Breath & Bloom (trauma-informed holistic voice work). Groups of 10 to 15. Adults and teens. All sessions in English.
This July and August, I am opening the doors to a series of intimate singing and vocal workshops in Paris. Small groups, four streams, and a range of formats.
The four streams are:
🎭 Musical Theatre - vocal technique (legit and belt/contemporary), character and storytelling work, individual and ensemble work. Beginner to professional. Adults and teens.
🎼 Classical Voice - Classical technique informed by voice science, style and repertoire, individual and ensemble work. Beginner to professional. Adults and teens.
🎵 Contemporary Voice - pop, soul, R&B, folk, jazz, and beyond. Personal sound development, style, expression. Individual and ensemble work. All levels. Adults and teens.
🌿 Breath & Bloom - a trauma-informed voice day for anyone wanting to reconnect with their voice rather than perform it. Adults only.
Workshops are available in 1-day, 3-day, and 5-day formats. Multi-day formats include individual coaching sessions. Adult and teen streams run separately. All sessions are conducted in English, with French support available where needed.
A little about me: I am Kayla Collingwood, a New Zealand-born contralto singer and music educator based in Paris, and the founder of Sound Garden: Classical Music Immersion. My teaching is rooted in classical vocal technique and voice science, and is trauma-informed throughout. I have been teaching voice across a wide range of styles and backgrounds for a number of years, and these workshops are an extension of that work.
Exact dates and pricing are coming very soon. The mailing list is the only place to get early access and early-bird pricing.

Also seeking: collaborative pianists
I am building a small pool of professional-level pianists I can reach out to on a casual basis during this period (and potentially future dates). The ideal candidate is comfortable across classical repertoire, musical theatre, and contemporary styles including lead sheet reading, and at ease with free improvisation (essential for Breath & Bloom). Confident working in English.
